Worth the Drive

East Texas and Arkansas Weddings at Sainte Terre

Some couples drive past a dozen venues to get to us. We think that says something. Sainte Terre sits just outside Shreveport in Benton, Louisiana — about an hour from Texarkana and Marshall, an hour and fifteen from Longview, under two from Tyler.

Close enough for your guests.

Far enough to feel like you went somewhere.

Planning from another town is hard.

Unless it isn't.

01 / One Team Just For You

Sainte Terre is Louisiana's only truly all-inclusive wedding venue. Your planner, florist, chef, photographer, DJ, and cake designer are all one team, under one roof.

Here's the problem with booking a venue an hour away: every vendor meeting is a road trip. The florist on a Tuesday. The caterer tasting on a Thursday. The DJ, the baker, the photographer — forty appointments, and every one of them wants you there in person.

That’s not how it works here.

02 / Four Planning Meetings

You plan your whole wedding in four meetings — not forty. For couples coming from Texas or Arkansas, that's not a perk. That's the whole reason.

03 / Your Checklist, Done

One trip covers what would take you a month of Tuesdays anywhere else. (Plus, we specialize in Zoom!)

How Far is it, Really?

We're five minutes from Cypress Lake and Black Bayou, where lake houses rent by the weekend — most of them on Airbnb. A lot of our couples book one for the wedding party. The morning after happens on a porch over the water instead of a hotel lobby.

If your guests would rather have a hotel, Shreveport-Bossier has thousands of rooms twenty minutes south, plus an airport and plenty to do. Either way, your planner shares our list of favorites and room-block contacts in your first meeting.

For couples coming in from out of town, this is the part that turns a drive into a weekend.
