Six O'Clock, Because Sunset Was 7:17 — Taylor & Peyton
Taylor and Peyton were married in March at The Stables. The ceremony started at 6:00 sharp. Sunset was at 7:17.
That is not a coincidence. We knew what time the sun would go down on their wedding day before she had picked a dress, and we built the schedule backwards from it — ceremony, recessional, family photos, and then the two of them out in the field with about forty minutes of the best light Louisiana gives you. There is a method to every detail of the planning here, and this is what it is for. These pictures.
The design was a French garden party with a modern flair. Peachy orange, blush, rose pink and white, with pops of pastel blue, sage and dark greenery, and gold and glass on every table. In the white chapel our florist ran two installations of vine straight up the walls on either side of the arched window, so the room looked like the garden had grown in. Meadow arrangements sat on the floor down the aisle. Eight bridesmaids in dusty blue, Peyton and his groomsmen in sand-colored suits, and a bouquet of peach ranunculus, pink roses and blue delphinium.
The reception moved into the black barn, where a suspended garden of roses, hydrangea and fern hung the length of the bar under white draping, "The Ritzes" glowed in neon, and a monogram sat in gold on a white dance floor by Montgomery Rentals.
Taylor also carried a handkerchief embroidered for Peyton's mom: I will love your son with all my heart for all my days. Thank you for trusting me with a piece of your heart. She left it on a chair before the ceremony.
